Our Academics

Computer Literacy

  • One unit of intensive instruction in computer literacy is required for graduation.

  • This course may be offered within English, social science, or any other subject.

  • It can also be counted toward the fulfillment of other graduation requirements, providing flexibility in meeting academic criteria while ensuring proficiency in computer skills.

- 1 Unit 

Science

  • Two unit of non-specific course sequences or content, with a laboratory component.

  • Laboratory investigations should be regular, with students engaging directly with natural phenomena or collected data.

  • Completion of two years of laboratory science is required for graduation.

- 2 Units 

English

  • Two units of writing-intensive coursework, including one year in English language arts.

  • Transitional English courses are acceptable, and Spanish language arts is also eligible.

- 4  Units

Social Studies

  • Must include one unit  of U.S. History or a combination of U.S. History and American government.

  • One unit of civics is required.

  • Passing an examination on American patriotism, flag use, and voting methods is necessary for graduation.

- 2 Units 

Mathematics

  • One unit of Algebra 1.

  • One unit of geometry content, which can be integrated into various courses.

  • Advanced Placement (AP) computer science courses qualify as mathematics-based, quantitative courses.

- 3 Units 

Physical  &  Driving  Education

Our Physical Education program promotes health, fitness, and teamwork through a variety of sports and activities. We encourage students to stay active, develop physical skills, and embrace a healthy lifestyle.
